Senior Manager – Commercial | Head Office | Lahore Pakistan

Role Summary

The Senior Manager – Commercial is responsible for establishing sourcing strategies, leading cross-functional strategic sourcing and managing merchandizing teams. The role holder is responsible for managing and negotiating with suppliers to execute contracts and optimize opportunities. Finally, he/she is in charge of defining and implementing selection of assortment, definition of category profitability, and promotional national calendar.

Role Profile

• Establish category sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional strategic sourcing and merchandizing teams.
• Manage and negotiate with suppliers to execute contracts and optimize opportunities.
• Manage category suppliers to act as a market intelligence provider regarding categories; anticipate strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informed.
• Drive category suppliers’ activities to mitigate risk, improve performance and add value.
• Helping to develop long-term country strategies and significantly influencing the cross-company project development.
• Define country strategic merchandise and assortment through product.
• Define and implement selection of assortment, definition of category profitability, and promotional national calendar.
• Ensure online assortment and selection is available and matches the offline assortment and selection to provide a similar customer experience.
  
  

Qualification, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
• Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
• Minimum 8–12 years of progressive experience in commercial, sales, category management, or business development roles
• Proven track record in driving revenue growth, profitability, and commercial strategy execution
• Experience in retail/FMCG or large-scale operations preferred
• Strong exposure to vendor negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract management
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
