Our client The Bank of Punjab (BOP) is looking for a Senior Manager Sales - Acceptance and Alliances in Lahore

Job Summary / Major Responsibilities

:

  • Commercial Strategy & P&L Ownership: Own the acquiring & alliances revenue target; define the annual commercial strategy across merchant acquisition, portfolio growth, alliance development, and pricing — with full P&L accountability.
  • Strategic Alliance Development: Identify, negotiate, and close commercial alliances across retail, hospitality, F&B, apparel, and FMCG verticals; own the full lifecycle from targeting and deal structuring through activation, and performance management.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Build, develop, and performance-manage the acquiring sales team; set targets, establish structured pipeline & CRM disciplines, and not only meet but exceed commercial goals.
  • Portfolio Management & Retention: Oversee the full merchant and alliance portfolio; implement key account review cadences, proactively manage attrition risk, and deepen wallet share through volume incentives, cross-sell, and value-added services.
  • Product & Proposition Input: Serve as the market’s voice into Product; surface merchant feedback, identify commercial gaps, and evaluate new product concepts including loyalty integrations and co-branded offers for viability before development is committed.
  • Pricing & Commercial Structuring: Lead MDR and revenue discussions and negotiations; obtain management’s consent/approval for non-standard terms, monitor market benchmarks, and maintain pricing discipline that balances competitiveness with margin sustainability.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning: Track competitor propositions, pricing, and alliance strategies across PSPs and banks; translate intelligence into actionable commercial and product positioning recommendations.
  • Compliance, Risk & Governance: Ensure all commercial activities comply with SBP regulations, Visa/Mastercard/1LINK scheme rules, and AML/CFT requirements; report portfolio health and commercial risks to senior management and governance committees.
  • Eligibility Criteria:

Qualification: Minimum Bachelor's or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized local/foreign university.

Experience: Minimum 7 to 9 years of banking/non-banking relevant experience.

Age: Up to 55 Years as of June 23rd, 2026.
