Senior Quality Engineer

Role Summary

Seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join quality engineering team. This role goes beyond traditional testing — you will design and build platforms, frameworks, and AI-driven systems that ensure our products are resilient, performant, and delivered at high velocity. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about shaping the future of quality engineering. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to embed quality at every stage of the development lifecycle, from “Shift Left” unit testing initiatives to integrating GenAI agents into our testing ecosystem. This role is instrumental in advancing our Continuous Testing strategy and driving quality as a culture across the organization

What You’ll Do

• Design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks supporting UI, API, and end-to-end coverage across browsers, mobile devices, and platforms
• Build reusable, maintainable automation suites for both frontend and backend services including REST and GraphQL APIs
• Define and drive testing strategies for AI-powered features and intelligent automation workflows
• Leverage AI-driven tooling to improve test efficiency, coverage, and long-term maintainability
• Collaborate with engineers to increase code coverage through TDD and shift quality checks to the earliest stages of development
• Integrate security validations early in the development lifecycle using SAST/DAST tooling, dependency scanning, and OWASP-based methodologies to reduce downstream risk
• Develop and maintain SQL-based and data validation test scenarios to ensure backend data integrity across services
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define BDD-aligned test scenarios that connect acceptance criteria directly to automated test coverage
• Design and execute performance and load testing strategies to identify bottlenecks and ensure system scalability
• Leverage observability and monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog, New Relic, Splunk) to analyze system health and proactively close gaps between test coverage and production behavior
• Embed automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines with containerized test environments ensuring consistency across builds and deployments
• Manage and scale test infrastructure using container orchestration to maintain full environment parity
• Track and support key quality and delivery metrics to measure engineering effectiveness and automation impact
• Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure requirements are testable and Definition of Done is consistently met
• Actively contribute to Agile rituals, ensuring story grooming includes clear, measurable acceptance criteria

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in an SDET, Quality Engineer, or closely related software testing and automation role
• Experience working in manual-heavy organizations transitioning into Continuous Testing environments
• Deep understanding of modern SDLC with a bias toward continuous delivery and iterative quality practices
• Experience with test data management strategies
• Proven track record of implementing AI-based testing solutions that reduced maintenance overhead
• Strong communication skills with a mindset that advocates for “Quality as a Culture” rather than a phase
