Summary: UST is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead software engineering teams in building scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in AWS, .NET, and MongoDB, combined with experience leveraging AI tools to improve engineering productivity and software delivery. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a passion for developing high-performing teams
The Opportunity:

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable applications using .NET, AWS, and MongoDB.
• Define technical strategy, architecture, and engineering standards aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee end-to-end software delivery, ensuring quality, security, performance, and reliability.
• Champion Agile delivery, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.
• Promote the effective use of AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, ChatGPT) to improve developer productivity and code quality.
• Manage engineering capacity, delivery plans, risks, dependencies, and technical debt.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, and Operations teams to deliver business outcomes.
• Drive cloud modernization, application modernization, and automation initiatives.
• Recruit, coach, and retain engineering talent through performance management and career development.

What you need: Required Skills:

• 10+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead role.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and EventBridge.
• Strong experience with MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, aggregation pipelines, performance tuning, and high-availability deployments.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, ChatGPT, or similar solutions.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, security, scalability, and cloud-native development.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Desired Skills:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Developer certification.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or AI-enabled application development.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
