Role

10Pearls is seeking a Solution Architect - Retail Banking Technology to drive the design and governance of scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions aligned with business objectives. This role will be responsible for defining solution architectures, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards, enabling digital transformation initiatives, and supporting agile product delivery across retail banking platforms. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business, product, engineering, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture teams to deliver high-quality, future-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and review solution architectures to address evolving business and technology requirements
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
• Create architectural blueprints, high-level designs (HLDs), and low-level designs (LLDs) for enterprise applications and platforms
• Partner with engineering teams to develop scalable, resilient, and maintainable technology solutions
• Drive API-first and microservices-based architecture adoption across digital and enterprise platforms
• Promote solution reusability, modularity, and extensibility to accelerate product delivery and reduce technical debt
• Lead modernization initiatives and recommend technology enhancements to improve business capabilities
• Ensure security-by-design principles are embedded within application architectures and customer-facing solutions
• Define and validate non-functional requirements, including scalability, performance, availability, resiliency, and maintainability
• Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and operations teams within Agile delivery environments
• Work closely with infrastructure and enterprise architecture teams to ensure alignment with the broader technology landscape
• Evaluate emerging technologies, architecture trends, and innovation opportunities to support continuous improvement
• Identify architecture bottlenecks and application landscape challenges, recommending strategic improvements and remediation plans
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout project delivery and implementation phases
• Review vendor and third-party solution proposals to ensure alignment with organizational architecture standards and business objectives
  
  

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software development, enterprise application delivery, and technology solutions
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Solution Architecture roles
• Strong experience designing and implementing solutions within banking, fintech, or large-scale enterprise environments
• Expertise in developing architectural blueprints, high-level designs, and detailed solution designs
• Proven experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Microservices Architecture, API-led Integration, and Event-Driven Architecture
• Strong understanding of API Gateways, Service Mesh technologies, and modern distributed systems architectures
• Experience architecting cloud-native applications across multi-cloud environments
• Strong technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, .NET Core, React, React Native, and related development frameworks
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, and similar platforms
• Strong understanding of application performance optimization, scalability engineering, and performance testing methodologies
• Experience defining and documenting functional and non-functional requirements
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile software delivery methodologies
• Expertise in security architecture principles including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, FAPI, TLS/mTLS, GDPR, PII protection, and application security best practices
• Ability to troubleshoot complex application architectures and perform end-to-end analysis of digital customer journeys
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to evaluate and challenge technical solutions proposed by vendors and internal teams to identify the most effective approach

• TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification
• Experience with Open Banking and partner ecosystem integrations
• Knowledge of AI-enabled architectures and emerging technology platforms
• Experience working with omni-channel digital platforms and customer engagement ecosystems
• Exposure to enterprise-wide digital transformation and modernization initiatives
• Familiarity with architecture governance boards and enterprise technology roadmaps
