Position Overview

Abacus is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Consultant (Talent Analytics) for its Human Capital Solutions (HCS) department. The ideal candidate should have an MBA/Master's degree with a major in HR and 2–3 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, Rewards, or Payroll. The role will support compensation benchmarking, talent analytics, rewards advisory, data analysis, and development of insights to support clients in making informed compensation and talent decisions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Compensation & Benefits Consultant (Talent Analytics), you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the delivery of Compensation & Benefits consulting and talent analytics services to local and multinational organizations across various sectors.
  • Collecting, consolidating, and managing employee compensation and benefits data from clients in line with projects and survey requirements.
  • Reviewing and validating submitted data to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability for analysis and benchmarking.
  • Conducting compensation and benefits data analysis to identify market trends, employee pay positioning, and relevant insights.
  • Supporting market benchmarking and compensation analysis and contributing to the development of client-specific recommendations.
  • Coordinating with clients to discuss data, methodology, and project-related queries and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Analyzing aggregate market data and supporting the preparation of compensation reports, dashboards, presentations, and client-ready insights.
  • Assisting in the development of compensation structures, salary benchmarks, incentive plans, and benefits solutions based on client requirements.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and effective delivery of projects and client deliverables.
  • Building and maintaining long-term client relationships by responding to queries, addressing concerns, and ensuring a high level of client service.
  • Supporting the preparation of proposals and presentations in response to client requirements and business needs.
  • Providing analytical and project support to senior team members across Compensation & Benefits and Talent Analytics engagements.


Requirements

  • MBA/Master's degree from an HEC-recognized university, preferably with a specialization/major in Human Resources.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, Rewards, Payroll, HR Analytics, or related HR functions.
  • Strong understanding of Compensation & Benefits and Rewards concepts, including salary structures, market benchmarking, incentives, allowances, and benefits.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret compensation data and translate it into meaningful insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data analysis, data cleaning, and working with large datasets.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and the ability to develop clear, professional, and client-ready presentations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing and validating large volumes of compensation data.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify data issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Good understanding of data integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity of employee compensation information.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments and competing priorities while maintaining quality and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both clients and internal teams.
  • A team player with a collaborative approach and the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Positive, proactive, and learning-oriented attitude, with a willingness to develop expertise in Compensation & Benefits and broader HR consulting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, consulting-oriented environment with a strong focus on quality and client service.


Preferred / Nice To Have

  • Professional certification in HR, Compensation & Benefits, Rewards, or Payroll (e.g. SHRM).
  • Exposure to compensation benchmarking, salary surveys, rewards analytics.
  • Experience working with large datasets and HR/compensation analytics.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, or compensation management systems.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Excel or other data visualization/analytics tools.
  • Exposure to client-facing consulting or professional services environments.
