Trade & Compliance Officer

This position to manages and alignment the import of all hybrid corn seed/crops protections and contributes significantly to achieve the cost competitiveness and operation excellence of the Supply Chain to make stock available as per the demand/supply to deliver the agreed customer requirements and maximize customer satisfaction, with full compliance to Customs Regulations and IITC requirements.

YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To assist Supply chain Lead in maintaining a swift and efficient supply process with minimum lead times in all shipments.
• Develop strategy to build reliable supply sources for seed, CP and packaging materials to manage supply risks.
• Coordination with DPP for issuance of import permits for corn seed of each shipment form supply source.
• Proper coordination with local PSI authorities to indorse the pre shipment inspection report timely.
• Coordinator with regional legal team for TPDD for our agent for interaction with Government on behalf of company.
• Develop and administer the Supplier Performance Rating process, resolve issues of concern with the suppliers.
• Owner of green light process for all countries for imported all shipments documents.
• Submitted complete import documents to finance for inter-company remittance payment to source countries.
• PSW and FI activities for each commercial shipments of corn seed and crop protection.
• Coordination with counter partner of exporting countries for smooth operation in import of all seed and CP shipments.
• Administer the import process and documentation in line with corporate guidelines and Business Conduct.
• Coordinate & follow-up supply chain relevant agreements.
• Develop company business double digit growth in last two years for timely supplies of seed and CP.

Customs Compliance:

• To liaise internally and with Customs Authorities in compliance with existing Government regulations requirements:
• Proper compliance of application related to custom duties and sales tax exemption,
• Refund/drawback facilities.
• Proper record keeping of custom related to the exemption shipment facilities granted.
• Ensure proper tariff classification of all products consignments.
• Ensure correct custom valuation and duty paid in all declaration of shipments
• To build a professional relationship with the customs authorities and 3rd parties for smooth operations.
• To constantly update on the changes of the Customs rules and regulations to ensure custom compliance.
• Collector of custom duties paid through PSID of all shipments.

Health Safety & Environment:

• Compliance with the rules set by the ESH standard and ensure to follow that all the ESH guidelines during transportation of containers from port to our warehouse.

Primary Logistics Management:

• Coordination with agent for maintain transportation cost of imported shipment to our warehouses as per market rates.
• Coordination with agent for use safe and proper tracking vehicles during move from port to warehouse.

Obsolescence Stock Management:

• Coordination and help in disposal of the obsolete seed and CP product/material by following the set procedures of company.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Education: CSCP, BSc,, MBA
• Experience: 5+Years
• Desired Competencies / Skills: Well Knowledge of Trade & Compliance Agri & Seed Industries CP & Seed Business Import requirements, SAP Knowledge, Communication Skills, MS Office, CSCP
