About The Role
Vertekx is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented UK Tax Accountant
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will handle UK direct and
corporate tax compliance, assist in tax planning, and support UK-based
clients with accurate and timely tax filings.

Vertekx is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented UK Tax Accountant
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will handle UK direct and
corporate tax compliance, assist in tax planning, and support UK-based
clients with accurate and timely tax filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review UK corporate tax returns (CT600) accurately and
- Handle personal tax returns (Self Assessment) for individuals and
- Ensure compliance with UK tax laws and HMRC regulations
- Compute tax provisions and deferred tax where applicable
- Assist in tax planning and advisory for clients
- Manage HMRC correspondence, queries, and tax investigations
- Support year-end accounts preparation from a tax perspective
- Review bookkeeping and financial data for tax accuracy
- Stay updated with changes in UK tax legislation and apply them
Requirements
- ACCA / ACA / CA qualified or part-qualified (with relevant experience)
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in UK tax compliance
- Strong understanding of UK corporate and personal tax rules
- Experience with HMRC filings and UK accounting/tax software
- Good knowledge of accounting standards and financial statements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and meet strict deadlines
- Experience working in a UK accountancy practice
- Exposure to tax planning and advisory work
- Familiarity with cloud accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
- Exposure to UK-based clients and complex tax matters
