Job Title: Unit Head – Money Market

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced treasury professional to lead our Money Market function. The role will be responsible for managing Shariah-compliant money market, fixed income, and Sukuk portfolios, ensuring effective liquidity management, optimizing treasury placements and borrowings, and supporting strategic treasury initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, managing treasury risks, and contributing to the Bank's overall treasury strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor money market, fixed income, and Sukuk portfolios within approved Shariah-compliant structures.
• Assess daily liquidity positions, cash inflows, and outflows to determine placement and borrowing requirements.
• Execute money market transactions in accordance with approved treasury products and Shariah-approved structures.
• Manage and square treasury positions in coordination with the Chief Treasury & Alternate Investments.
• Ensure all treasury transactions remain within approved risk parameters and regulatory limits.
• Support treasury strategy formulation, ALCO presentations, and management reporting.
• Monitor and escalate treasury discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain ALCO records and meeting minutes.
• Liaise with Shariah Compliance to ensure treasury activities remain fully compliant with Islamic banking principles.
• Ensure adherence to treasury policies, SBP regulations, and Shariah governance requirements.

Experience Required

• Minimum 10–12 years of relevant treasury experience, including hands-on management of money market, fixed income, and Asset Liability Management (ALM) functions.
• Mandatory experience in Islamic Treasury, including Shariah-compliant money market and fixed income instruments.
• Experience in FX dealing and foreign exchange position management will be considered an added advantage.

Educational Background Required

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, AAOIFI, or equivalent will be preferred.
