Position Title: Utility Engineer

Location: Cornwala Plant

Workplace type: On Site

As a Utility Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring reliable steam production and supply, delivering dry and specification-compliant compressed and instrument air, maintaining effective circulating water flow, and managing canal water pretreatment for quality soft water. Additionally, the role involves generating innovative ideas and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

This role reports to Manager Utilities & Cogen.

What You Will Do

• Steam & Boiler Operation – Reliable steam supply to the plant with periodic boiler tuning for efficiency.
• Compressed & Instrument Air – Dry, within-spec compressed air supply to meet plant requirements.
• Water Treatment – Pretreatment of canal water, soft water preparation, and dependable ground water supply.
• Cooling Systems – Adequate circulating water and chilled water supply through efficient chiller operations.
• Gas Supply & Monitoring – Smooth SNG backup supply and continuous monitoring of natural gas to boilers and equipment
• Wastewater & Safety Compliance – Operation of wastewater treatment within NEQS limits and strict implementation of safety measures.
• Crew, Inventory & Objectives – Administrative control of operation crew, inventory management of spares, and setting departmental objectives with controlled parameters.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• Degree BSc. Chemical / Mechanical Engineer
• Minimum 5-year experience as Utilities operations including coal fired powerhouse & WWTP
• Knowledge of utilities operations and maintenance

• Personnel should have full command of operation, maintenance, installation and commissioning of utilities related equipment
• Personnel should be aware of the safety standards to be adopted during high-risk jobs execution

• Registration of new boilers, annual inspection of boilers from Government regulators and dealing with SNGPL for gas related matters
