About the Role

We're looking for a creative and reliable video editor who can work independently with minimal supervision and transform raw footage into engaging, high-retention videos and vertical Shorts/Reels. The ideal candidate enjoys storytelling, understands pacing and viewer psychology, and knows how to use editing techniques to keep audiences watching. We're looking to build a long term relationship with a person who is a creative and reliable video editor to help grow our social media portfolio. The goal is to convert raw footage into engaging, interesting and high-retention videos.

This is a remote position primarily based in Pakistan and offers a competitive salary according to experience.

Responsibilities:

• Convert raw footage into interesting/engaging videos
• Remove unnecessary pauses, repetitive sections, and downtime while preserving the story
• Improve pacing and viewer engagement.
• Add smooth transitions, stickers/emojis/memes, zoom ins, highlights, subtitles/captions and visual effects where appropriate.
• Add sound effects and background music where appropriate
• Perform audio balancing, denoiser and basic audio enhancement.
• Perform visual enhancements and color corrections
• Create engaging vertical Shorts/Reels from long-form videos
• Ensure that all music, sound effects, graphics, and other third-party assets used in videos are properly licensed when required.

Requirements

• A creative mindset who can convert any raw footage into compelling/engaging videos, and ability to create viral-style Shorts and Reels.
• Strong video editing experience and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to meet agreed deadlines consistently.
• Is reliable, professional, and responsive.
• Is interested in building a long-term working relationship.
• Clear and prompt communication are highly valued
• Willing to make reasonable revisions based on feedback until the final version is approved.

Experience with AI editing tools is a bonus but not mandatory.
