Xero Implementation Consultant

Project Overview

Idenfo, a fast-growing RegTech company operating across multiple international jurisdictions, is seeking an experienced Xero Implementation Consultant to lead the end-to-end implementation, migration, and optimization of our finance systems.

The consultant will be responsible for reviewing existing financial records, migrating and reconciling approximately two years of historical data, establishing accurate financial records within Xero, and implementing automations and integrations to improve efficiency and reporting.

Scope of Work

Xero Setup & Configuration

• Configure and optimize Xero according to business requirements.
• Design and implement an appropriate Chart of Accounts.
• Set up tracking categories, cost centres, and reporting structures.
• Configure bank feeds and multi-currency settings.
• Establish approval and financial control workflows.
• Optimize and integrate Finance automations.
  
  
  

Historical Data Migration & Reconciliation

• Review and assess existing accounting records.
• Migrate approximately two years of historical financial data into Xero.
• Reconcile:
• Bank accounts
• Credit cards
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Payroll-related transactions
• Intercompany transactions
  
• Investigate and resolve historical discrepancies.
• Ensure all balances are accurate and audit-ready.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience implementing Xero for businesses.
• Strong accounting, bookkeeping, and reconciliation expertise.
• Demonstrated experience with historical data migration.
• Experience setting up finance automations and integrations.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting.
• Xero Certification preferred.
• Experience working with technology, SaaS, or startup companies is advantageous.

• ACCA, CA, CPA, ACA, CMA, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
• Familiarity with payroll and international finance operations.
• Experience with integrations such as Hubdoc, Dext, ApprovalMax, Stripe, Wise, PayPal, and other finance technology platforms.
  
  
  

Deliverables

The successful consultant will:

• Fully implement Xero.
• Migrate and reconcile approximately two years of historical financial data.
• Configure finance automations and integrations.
• Establish accurate financial reporting structures.
