Accounting Associate

Position Summary:

The accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and providing accurate financial information to support the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Maintain and update accounting records and files.
• Assist with tax filings and audits.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1+ years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
