AI Business Analyst

We are seeking a versatile and curious individual to join our team as an AI Business Analyst. This multifaceted role sits at the intersection of business analysis, domain expertise development, and AI training, making it ideal for someone who thrives on variety and wants to gain a deep understanding of how AI transforms financial compliance.

You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between complex financial domain knowledge and our AI systems, ensuring that our technology accurately interprets and processes regulatory documents.

Knowledge & Documentation

• Document knowledge gathered from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other sources, enabling the team to operate effectively in niche-specific domains.
• Translate business needs and pain points into clear, actionable requirements.
• Research, compile, and maintain comprehensive documentation for internal workflows and processes.

Annotation & Data Quality

• Annotate financial and regulatory documents following established guidelines and quality standards.
• Help curate golden datasets to benchmark AI outputs and establish quality metrics.
• Gather critical data points from various sources to support AI model training and validation.

AI Workflow Support

• Evaluate AI workflow outputs and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Define and track KPIs for AI workflows to measure performance and accuracy
• Build and follow workflows with the team to achieve desired outcomes

Quality Assurance & Escalation

• Highlight critical issues from the perspective of a pseudo SME, flagging edge cases and inconsistencies
• Document issues, consult with SMEs, and finalize resolutions
• Continuously learn and develop domain expertise in financial regulations and compliance

Must Have

• Excellent Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities; you'll be the bridge between technical teams, SMEs, and stakeholders
• AI Literacy: Strong understanding of current AI trends and capabilities from a consumer/user perspective; you actively use and understand AI tools
• Data Gathering Skills: Proven ability to collect, organize, and synthesize information from multiple sources effectively
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to ask the right questions to understand business needs, identify gaps, and probe for clarity
• Self-Motivated & Self-Managed: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive projects forward without constant supervision
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Software Technology, or related field. Basically, someone with the acumen of business and tech, with an interest in fintech

Good to Have

• FinTech Understanding: Familiarity with the financial technology landscape, digital transformation in finance, and regulatory technology (RegTech)
• Business Acumen: Ability to understand business pain points, operational challenges, and how technology solutions address them
• Stock Exchange Knowledge: Basic understanding of how stock exchanges operate, fee structures, and regulatory frameworks

You are a recent graduate or early-career professional with a natural curiosity about both business and technology. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity and can quickly grasp complex domains. You've likely used AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude in your personal or academic life and understand their potential and limitations.

You enjoy documentation and bringing order to chaos. You ask thoughtful questions and aren't satisfied with surface-level understanding. Most importantly, you communicate clearly and can translate complex concepts for different audiences.
