Position: Cybersecurity Expert / InfoSec Officer – Remote

What You’ll Do

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive information security policies and procedures
• Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate threats
• Monitor networks, systems, and applications for security incidents and respond with appropriate mitigation strategies
• Lead incident response efforts, including forensic analysis, root-cause investigation, and post-incident reporting
• Train and advise internal teams on security best practices, compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR), and emerging threats
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security controls into product development and deployment pipelines

Who You Are

• You hold a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field—or you bring equivalent professional experience
• You have proven hands-on experience in a cybersecurity or InfoSec role, with deep knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, and cloud security
• You’re skilled with security tools and frameworks such as SIEM (e.g., Splunk, ELK), IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability management platforms
• You possess strong analytical and investigative abilities, coupled with excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• You stay current on the latest threat landscapes, attack vectors, and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or OSCP
• Experience with secure DevOps practices (DevSecOps) and automated security testing in CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, PCI-DSS) and data privacy regulations
• Experience leading security awareness programs and tabletop exercises
