Job Purpose

You will build premium international brands as well as Core brands focusing on all channels’ RTM in one of Unilever’s top priority markets – Pakistan & Others, where we have a strong pipeline of current & future brands (Unilever owned and acquired). These include iconic brands like Dove, AXE, closeup , Vaseline etc.

You will leverage e-commerce channel, traditional/digital and shopper marketing to build brands rapidly, partner with global and regional product development teams to analyze the performance across markets and lead cross-functional UI teams to land innovations in market with impact.

You will have end to end responsibility and accountability for the brand building and marketing activities for focus brands in Pakistan.

What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be

  • Maintain and disseminate knowledge of different International Food regulation authorities - such as FDA, CFIA .. etc., for labelling and product formulation guidance as per industry best practices
  • Ensure ingredients, product, packaging, labelling, process, legal and regulatory compliance as per relevant Food regulations of respective exporting country.
  • Identify suppliers and develop capabilities for ingredients compliance for treatment, fortification etc
  • Manage end to end R&D work in partnership with relevant stakeholders, Unilever entities (such as UI) for seamless execution of export networks from inception to launch, with 100% network compliance
  • With understanding of international food laws, work with relevant stakeholders, to identify new opportunities of expansion of sales to different export regions.
  • Prepare and process pre and post shipment documentation required for product registrations and certifications in applicable international markets and work with UI and legal to provide technical registration dossiers that fulfill specific country regulations.
  • Coordination with factory quality and go to market (GTM) quality to ensure full quality specs compliance and smooth delivery of export shipments to destination countries without any quality issues.
  • Engage with cross functional teams to manage and investigate customer complaints, root cause analysis for non-conforming products, and corrective action and preventive action as and when required.
  • Liaise with distributors and international food authorities for problem solving and providing necessary documentation and evidence for post shipment detentions and issues.
  • Artwork and packaging development with compliance on shelf life and regulatory & legal compliance of exporting country
  • Shelf life extension initiatives with coordination relevant teams to see possibility to increase shelf life without compromise on product deliverables
  • Understand usage of relevant ERP systems, such as SAP etc
