Job Function

To ensure accurate and rationale billing of all CT operated LT/HT/EHT connections, ensure functionality and health of metering equipment is intact, and in comply with the regulatory guidelines . To maintain and improve the AMR meters/MDMS effectiveness/functionality by proper monitoring and liaison with all stakeholders.

Areas of Responsibility/Job Role

• To ensure screening/analysis of billing data/consumption as per meter reading cycle, validate the billing data through all technical parameters on AMR portal/MDMS to check for any discrepancy, reconciling consumption with feeder/Trafo check meter sent out units, consumption trend etc.
• Responsible for rectification of all discrepancies, metering faults, AMR meter communication issues to ensure accurate recorded billing and to intact with the digital environment. Maintaining MIS of all such cases.
• To ensure units are charged after proper data screening/validation as detailed above and in accordance with the Nepra CSM guidelines for metering fault connections.
• Responsible for physically checking the CT operated LT/HT/EHT meters/connections for a thorough inspection for suspected cases and whenever required.
• Be able to conduct all types of testing methods of DOL (ordinary) & AMR (LT/HT) meters.
• Be well versed with preparation of onsite SIRs within the purview of polices & procedures of company.
• Be able to prepare the daily, weekly & monthly billing reports, feeder/PMT loss units reports, maintain data regarding revenue protection and theft of electricity by converting it into lost units and amount.
• Well versed with the detection of all types of theft in CT operated LT/HT/EHT meters.
• Ensuring safety related SOP’s are properly followed by all team members as per company policy.
• Target oriented with respect to losses reduction.
• Any other tasks as and when assigned.

Education & Relevant Experience

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (BE-Electrical)
• 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience
