Assistant Manager – Financial Reporting & Controls

About The Role

The role is based in Karachi, Pakistan. The Assistant Manager – Financial Reporting & Control will cover all aspects of financial accounting and reporting including Order to Cash O2C claims management to all customers, sales finance partnering, treasury, Overheads Control, Record to Report.

The role will report to the Finance Manager – Financial Reporting & Controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order to Cash (O2C); - Claims Management for all customers: Daily cash application for customers and provide invoice level application to the O2C team.
  • Sales Finance Partnering; Calculate and maintain Distributor ROI and Channel Profitability. Maintain the discount profile of all the customers.
  • Treasury; Preparation of cash flow forecast. Delivery of Target cash conversion & working capital metrics. Close Liaison with Central Bank & partner banks to fast-track remittances.
  • Overheads Control; E2E control of business overheads. Ensuring expenses remain under Target guidance. Timely recording and posting of accruals in the correct CBTs as per Global Guideline. Identify and drive overhead savings of 3% Target Guideline.
  • Record to Report; Responsible for ensuring Financial Control Health Indicators (CHI) to remain below threshold. Clearing of bank open items. Review and perform Balance Sheet Hygiene. Attending Global controllers’ call and implementing global initiatives, policies and procedures locally.

The ideal Candidate: Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

We are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager with 2-3 years of experience in Finance with an academic qualification in Accountancy /a degree in accountancy from a recognized University and with a professional certification CA, MBA, or CIMA.

Prior experience in FMCG will be an added advantage. You should be confident with Excel, Power Point and experience with SAP is mandatory.

In-depth knowledge and skills in the following areas: Net Revenue management, budgeting and costing, financial reporting will be essential, with proven ability to work in a matrix organization and cross functional networks with multiple stakeholders.

An entrepreneurship mindset in goal orientation, and excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to build relations and coordinate across multiple stakeholders are key skills
