PURPOSE

The Innovation & Insights Unit is required to advance innovation agenda of the company and at the same time focus heavily on research and development opportunities. The incumbent in the role is required to have sound understanding in the field of data sciences, data management, interpretation and asserting valuable decisions, innovations freak and preferably with also a sound understanding of the technical side of power/energy sector. Having a sound background in research is a definite plus.

Education & Relevant Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, master’s or higher desirable in a relevant field
  
  

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1 Innovation Portfolio

• Establishing a governance framework to standardize innovation efforts across KE, centralizing reporting and oversight of existing and upcoming initiatives.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects within various innovation initiatives and platforms, including the Energy Progress & Innovation Challenge, ensuring seamless collaboration and execution.
• Systematically collect, disseminate, and communicate information, progress, and learnings internally to nurture a culture of innovation among employees and decision-makers.
• Assist in developing a detailed plan aligned with the yearly Innovation Strategy, managing execution across multiple activities within the innovation portfolio/plan.
• Implement systematic reporting mechanisms to track progress against initiatives, ensuring alignment with company priorities and vision while driving innovation forward.
  
  

2 Planning and Managing Projects

• Develop project plans, delineating scope, task assignments in adherence to the established governance frameworks and tracking mechanisms.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to conceptualize projects and devise efficient processes for their successful execution.
• Providing regular updates on project progress, costs, schedules, and risks across a diverse portfolio of initiatives.
• Proactively anticipate and address potential delays, changes, or expansions in project deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines and achievement of key milestones.
  
  

3 Reporting & Documentation

• Assist in the development and publishing of reports
• Development of comprehensive and technical weekly/monthly reports for supervisor review
• Ensure complete project visibility through appropriate reporting to team lead
  
  

4 Knowledge of Relevant Regulations

• Stay updated with all relevant market regulations and consequent impact on KE projects
• Prepare learning material for department and project team consumption
• Encourage compliance with particular rules and or regulations that can serve to establish products, processes, or services relevant to ongoing projects
  
  

5 Tasks based assignments

• Provide comprehensive support to the team, encompassing budgets, invoicing, procurement &vendor management and executing other backend office tasks as assigned from time to time.
