Job Summary

Assistant Manager Projects is responsible for all capital projects planning and execution in linked with the Abbott plant strategies with direct coordination with Director Operations. Also responsible for Coordination between all internal stakeholders during planning and handing-over stage and with all external stakeholders including contractors, consultants, plan and arrange meeting to keep projects on track.

Major Responsibilities

  • Master scheduling and tracking of project activities using tools, including but not limited to MS Project
  • Development of User Required Specifications (URS) based on site stakeholders’ requirements
  • Strong follow-up with all stakeholders to meet agreed timelines
  • Track expenses to control overall approved available funds and Utilize energy conservation concepts in projects as applicable
  • Update management on the progress of CEP on agreed frequency and Anticipate delays and highlight resources required to meet timelines
  • Keep updated drawings and schedules in record
  • Ensure that Engineering and EHS&E Standards of Abbott are implemented in letter and spirit
  • Ensure compliance of Abbott code of business conduct
  • Effectively utilize the available resources
  • Prepare URS and design schemes and personally monitor execution of projects across two sites
  • Align with user departments on project progress and ensure monthly project meetings are conducted with SLT and key stakeholders
  • Prepare LRP in line with site(s) strategy in agreement with line manager and director operation

Education/Knowledge & Experience

  • BE in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic
  • 3-4 years’ experience in the same capacity
  • Experience in managing projects for client organization
  • Knowledge of project management, planning & contracts, scheduling tools including MS Project, Primavera P6 etc
  • Understanding of contracts, BOQs, drawings, etc
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Teamwork and problem-solving skills
