Job Title: Associate, Carbon Markets

The Catalyst Group is a boutique headhunting firm looking to hire an Associate, Carbon Markets for its client Ahya Technology, a pioneer in climate technology.

The Company

Ahya Technologies is Pakistan's first climate-software and AI venture, focused on building an AI-powered platform for scaling climate action. The company's mission is to enable the region's enterprise transition to net-zero with accuracy, transparency, and equitable growth.

The Role

The Associate will support Ahya's Technology and Product team working on the company's carbon marketplace, Tawazun, to analyze carbon market trends and collaborate with partners across various industries to drive climate action.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze carbon market data and policies to identify trends and insights
• Research and assess policy and market initiatives to enhance the use of carbon credits
• Conduct financial and environmental modeling for emission reduction projects
• Advise companies on climate action strategies using the Ahya platform
• Support project implementation, including due diligence and carbon credit forecasting
• Develop strategies to engage market intermediaries such as brokers
• Provide technical input on voluntary carbon markets for Ahyas digital marketplace
• Communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Economics, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in carbon markets
• Knowledge of voluntary carbon markets, carbon finance, and climate technologies
• Familiarity with carbon credit standards (e.g., Verra, Gold Standard) and Article 6 of the Paris Agreement
• Experience in carbon removal strategies and assessing carbon offset project quality
• Strong analytical skills, including climate/financial modeling and advanced Excel
• Excellent presentation, communication, and time management skills
