Purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure Inspection & maintenance of Company's fleet vehicles. This person’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all vehicles in the organization’s fleet are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves overseeing a team of mechanics and technicians, running the on-prem maintenance workshop, and operationalizing the preventative maintenance and vehicle rehabilitation programs. The role will include streamlining activities in the workshop that reduces the turnaround time for recovery of ‘Breakdown Vehicles’. He/She will be responsible to implement the best practices/innovation that are brought in/strategized by the Manager. Since this role entails heavy interaction with stakeholders, this person will have to manage expectations and ensure feedback is incorporated into processes that increases satisfaction levels.

Education & Relevant Experience

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • 04 to 05 years of experience in Fleet maintenance with 2 years of hands-on experience with Hydraulic Systems.
  • Experience in leading teams and managing them through expertise in Cross functional areas.
  • Experience in Process Optimization, resource conservations.
  • Administrative command & control

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Fleet Workshop Management & Innovations

 Support in the inception, feasibility, and proposal of new innovations in vehicle related technologies and advances

 Oversee the development and implementation of any new vehicle innovations focusing on the policies and regulations ensuring compliance

 Be involved with any CFTs that are focused on bringing innovations in the KE Vehicle System

 Be Responsible to ensure deadlines and targets are met pertaining to these innovation projects keeping strong coordination with all internal and external stakeholders.

 Monitor and ensure smooth running of the Logistics Workshop as per approved TAT

Vehicle Inspection

 To ensure through both scheduled and SPOT field inspections that Hired vehicles are in road worthy condition all time.

 To ensure Vehicle database to be updated timely & vehicles are being provided with Tokens accordingly.

 Effective vehicle monitoring through periodic inspections such as Spot inspections & Complaint vehicle Inspections.

 Develop and monitors KPIs of hired vehicles health & routine inspection.

 To ensure 100% contract compliance from internal and external stakeholders.

 To manage conflicts and resolve disputes between users and vendors.

 Analytics based on vehicle inspections to drive vehicle’s efficiency in field.

 Time to time meetings with users for discussion on Fleet inspections & operations

 Weekly & monthly meetings with Hired vehicles vendor for their performance & conflicts resolution.

 To ensure timely processing of vendors billing.

Vendor Driver Database

 To ensure Driver Database to be updated timely & reflected on vehicles listed in FDB.

 Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to vehicle operators

 Monitor documentation to ensure all relevant documents are valid and up to date

 Develop and expand on digitalized systems to ensure transparency and real time availability of all driver database information to all relevant stakeholders

Stakeholder Management

  • Close liaison with both internal and external stakeholder with open communication to ensure understanding of stakeholder perspectives and issues and to communicate and advise on the strategic avenues being undertaken by Logistics.
  • Provide effective and transparent communication to all internal and external stakeholders to have their confidence in any strategic journey the Logistics Department is taking.

People Management

  • Provides effective and inspiring leadership to direct reports and groom future potential through development of functional competencies as well as leadership skills through effective exposure through appropriate projects, trainings, and timely coaching.
