AWS Cloud Developer

We are looking for an AWS Cloud Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications and infrastructure, to migrate existing in-house applications to cloud native solutions and build new applications as required. You’ll be an important contributor in a cross-functional team delivering robust and efficient cloud solutions that power our applications and services.

The role can be located in Athens or Lahore/Pakistan. We neither offer relocation nor work permit sponsorship.

Your Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain microservices and backend systems deployed in AWS.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code in Python, and other required languages.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL and MySQL databases for performance, reliability, and security.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CodePipeline, or Jenkins.
• Build and deploy Docker containers to AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Fargate, or Lambda.
• Automate infrastructure using CloudFormation, or the AWS CDK.
• Ensure observability with logging, metrics, and monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana or Logic Monitor).
• Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to ensure best practices in reliability, scalability, and security.
• Understand current environment and applications operated it and design a solution to migrate it

Your Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Comprehensive experience in backend or cloud-native software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and AWS SDKs (e.g., boto3).
• Deep experience with AWS services, and serverless architectures.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Proven experience with Docker, including container orchestration and deployment in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines and automating development workflows.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience migrating from legacy systems to cloud native solutions

Requirements

• Greek/EU/Schengen-zone citizen, or holder of work permit for Greece for the role in Athens
• Valid work permit for Pakistan for the role in Lahore
• English fluency, both written and spoken
