Blog/Copy Writer

Role Overview:

Talent Trellis is seeking a talented Blog/Copy Writer who excels in crafting engaging, informative, and persuasive content that aligns with our rebranding efforts as a customer support partner for SaaS, software, and IT companies. This role will focus on creating various written materials, including blog posts, website copy, email content, and case studies, to educate, engage, and convert our target audience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of B2B content marketing and be skilled at adapting their writing style to appeal to different customer personas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation:
• Write high-quality, original blog posts, case studies, white papers, and website copy.
• Develop persuasive copy for email marketing campaigns, landing pages, and ad content.
• Collaborate with the Content Strategist/Creator to align content with overall marketing strategies and goals.
  
• Research and Industry Insight:
• Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, target audience pain points, and customer support solutions.
• Interview internal stakeholders, clients, or industry experts to gather insights for long-form content.
• Stay updated on the latest in SaaS, customer support, and tech industry news to incorporate relevant insights into content.
  
• SEO Optimization:
• Apply SEO best practices to optimize blog posts, web pages, and other content for search engines.
• Work closely with the SEO Specialist to ensure all content aligns with targeted keywords and phrases.
• Regularly update older content to maintain SEO relevance and performance.
  
• Content Planning and Strategy:
• Contribute ideas for blog topics, copy themes, and other content that will engage our target audience.
• Help maintain a content calendar in collaboration with the Content Strategist and Social Media Manager.
• Tailor content for specific channels (e.g., blog, social media, email) to ensure maximum impact.
  
• Editing and Proofreading:
• Review and edit content to ensure it meets high standards for quality, clarity, and brand consistency.
• Proofread for grammar, spelling, and style, ensuring all content is polished and professional.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in content writing, preferably in B2B SaaS, technology, or customer support industries.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and experience using SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush).
• Ability to adapt writing style to match the brands voice and engage different personas.
• Experience with content management systems like WordPress or HubSpot.
