Job Description:
We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Executive with a strong focus on Upwork bidding and client acquisition. The ideal candidate will have experience in securing projects on Upwork, especially for tech services companies, and is comfortable navigating competitive bidding processes. A background in computer science is preferred but not mandatory. The role requires a keen understanding of Upwork’s platform, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive approach to meeting and exceeding targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Upwork Bidding and Client Acquisition: Identify suitable projects on Upwork, craft compelling proposals, and actively bid to secure contracts in line with company goals.
• Client Communication: Engage with prospective clients, understand their requirements, and articulate how our tech services meet their needs.
• Market Research: Stay updated on Upwork trends, competitor activities, and the types of projects that align with our tech services to optimize bidding strategies.
• Proposal Development: Develop, refine, and submit high-quality proposals tailored to client specifications, ensuring they highlight our technical expertise and unique value.
• Pipeline Management: Track and manage the sales pipeline on Upwork, from lead generation to project onboarding, ensuring all touchpoints with clients are timely and professional.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on bidding performance, success rates, and revenue generated from Upwork, providing insights to improve future outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Experience: Fresh to 2 years of experience in business development or sales, with a focus on Upwork bidding in tech services.
• Platform Expertise: Knowledge of Upwork’s platform, with a demonstrated ability to identify and secure relevant projects.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage and convert clients.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple bids and follow up with clients systematically.
• Tech Background (Preferred): A background in computer science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory, with an understanding of tech services.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with tech services companies.
• Familiarity with other freelance platforms such as Freelancer, Guru, etc.
• Basic understanding of project requirements for web and app development, software engineering, or AI solutions.
