In-country is looking to appoint a Country Manager (Pakistan) to work as part of our dedicated team for our

Person specification: 


  • Experience of 3+ years in the International Education Recruitment space in Pakistan
  • Undergraduate/Masters degree from a prestigious international or South Asian university
  • Exemplary communication skills, both in English and local languages
  • Experience and/or appreciation of living in the UK (or a similar country) and its working culture
  • Strong and detailed understanding of UK university admissions, compliance and visa processes (UKVI)
  • Experience in strategic development in the higher education recruitment context across the UK and Pakistan
  • Understanding of education agents
  • Experienced with business travel
  • Understanding and experience of working education agents in Pakistan
  • Analytical skills to handle, assess and explain data, aid decision-making making
  • Possess a commercially focused growth mindset that allows the post holder to engage with change positively 
  • An inclusive outlook that embraces difference and working within a diverse global team enthusiastically 


Main duties and accountabilities: 


  • To oversee student recruitment operations in Pakistan for the University of Glasgow supported by In-country’s Senior Management Team and the International Office at the university.
  • To attend education exhibitions to meet with potential University of Glasgow applicants and guide them on the university’s courses and entry requirements
  • Contribute to the execution and planning of the conversion, school outreach, and marketing strategy
  • Contribute to the development and planning of the Pakistan marketing budget
  • Plan and conduct events targeted to offer holders and enquirers to support In-country conversion strategy for the university
  • Develop relationships with new agent partners and maintain a relationship with existing agents. Collaborate with them to increase the market presence of the university in Pakistan
  • Undertake market research and provide market intelligence on the Pakistan market to the International Office at the university to support the wider marketing and communications strategy of the university
  • Support departmental visits to Pakistan by university officials by organising recruitment activities in Pakistan and providing logistical support for travelling staff
  • Serve as the primary liaison for prospective applicants and leads of the university, managing communication through email, phone calls, and WhatsApp texts
  • Oversee data capture from events and agents. Ensuring GDPR-compliant data storage and transfer between In-country and the University of Glasgow. Ensuring that leads gathered from events are appropriately stored on In-country’s leads monitoring sheet and then followed up to convert from enquiry to application/ offers to acceptance
  • Support with, advise on, and execute when necessary, compliance related activities associated with international student recruitment, ensuring that the University upholds its standards and reputation in the market.
