Pavago is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to join our client’s innovative team. You’ll play a pivotal role in analyzing and optimizing datasets for advanced engineering applications. This position is ideal for recent graduates or those with 1–2 years of experience eager to grow in the field of data science. Key Responsibilities:

• Database Architecture Design: Design, optimize, and enhance database systems to manage and process large-scale data operations efficiently.
• Data Pipeline Development: Build and maintain robust pipelines to ensure seamless data exchange between algorithms and the database.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize SQL queries, indexing, and database architecture for superior performance.
• Anomaly Detection: Develop and implement methods to detect and flag anomalies in algorithm outputs in collaboration with the team.
• Algorithm Debugging and Refinement: Work with the Director of Research to debug, refine, and optimize backend engine algorithms in Python and C#.
• Real-Time Interaction Enablement: Collaborate with development teams to support real-time interactivity between users and graph data.
• Algorithm Optimization: Improve algorithm performance for large-scale datasets, leveraging threading, multithreading, and GPU processing techniques.
• Machine Learning Integration: Assist in the integration of machine learning models to enhance statistical modelling and predictions.
• Prompt Engineering: Utilize prompt engineering techniques to streamline workflows and improve system efficiency.
• Project Collaboration: Use tools like Asana, Azure Boards, Slack, or Jira to manage tasks and ensure effective team communication.

Requirements:

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Python for data analysis and scripting. Basic knowledge of C# is a plus. Familiarity with handling and processing large datasets. Knowledge of statistical and mathematical concepts.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in data science or a similar role.
• Additional Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills for reporting and collaboration. Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
