Database Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The successful candidate will have 8-10 years of expertise in SQL Server Database Administration, with a strong focus on database performance, reporting services, and Data Warehousing. This role is critical for ensuring the optimal performance, integrity, and security of our database systems.

Job Description:

• The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining SQL Server databases to ensure their performance, availability, and security. Key responsibilities include configuring and monitoring database systems, implementing advanced backup and recovery strategies, and optimizing database performance through indexing and performance tuning.
• The DBA will design and implement Data Warehousing solutions and support reporting services, including SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and creating drill-down reports and dashboards. The role involves implementing and managing SQL Server Always On, Read Replicas, Disaster Recovery (DR) sites, and Replication. Collaboration with development and operations teams is essential to ensure seamless database integration and deployment. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in problem-solving and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL Server Database Administration.

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration, with a demonstrated focus on database performance, reporting services, and Data Warehousing. Expertise in database performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, system monitoring, and advanced replication techniques is essential. Experience with SQL Server Always On, Read Replicas, and DR site management is highly desirable.

Education/Qualification:

Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Computer Science.

Preferred: Master’s Degree in IT or Computer Science.
