Purpose

This role is required to assist the supervisor in tariff modeling along with tariff variations and relevant analysis. The job requires thorough grip on MS Excel and MS Power Point for the preparation of scenario-based analysis, presentations and coordinate with NEPRA regarding the approval of FCAs and Quarterly Tariff Adjustments.

Education

ACCA or a Bachelors’ Degree

Knowledge

Should have a basic understanding of the policies power sector

Should have understanding of the current market structure

Should have basic knowledge of Finance

Experience

Area Of Responsibilities

• Support in preparation of Monthly Fuel Charges Adjustment and Quarterly Tariff Variations working for submission to NEPRA and assist in coordinating with NEPRA regarding the decision of Tariff Adjustments.
• Enable scenario-based projections regarding the cash flow projections based on the changes in macro-economic assumptions and assist in analyzing change impact on KE’s Tariff in line with change in fuel prices, gas quota and other factors.
• Coordinate with internal teams for timely acquisition of data to be submitted to NEPRA with monthly and quarterly fillings.
• Support in preparation of presentation and relevant analysis for NEPRA hearings.
• Prepare analysis for leadership, based on historic and forecasted tariff movements, subsidy projections and cash-flow impacts.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for the timely availability of the Economic Merit Order (EMO) to ensure compliance with Company policy, highlight any potential deviations and risks in passing through costs under Tariff variations.
• Assist in timely submission of fortnightly EMO to NEPRA and respond to their queries, if any.
• Assist in ensuring monthly closing and reporting activities and ensuring accurate monthly financial reporting of Tariff variations and other adjustments.
• Assist in analyzing changes in KE’s tariff with other XWDISCOs.
• Assist in automation of FCA process on SAP.
• Prepare power bi dashboards for financial KPIs.
• Manage all data submissions relating to Tariff and EMO.
