Purpose

This position is responsible for supervision of execution of transmission line overhead and underground at various sites under TP1000 projects according to approved method statement, design and HSEQ procedures within time stipulated in contract schedule in close coordination with contractor, user and LDC operation. The position also assist in development, planning, design/drawing reviews, witnessing of FAT, material handling, and handling of the newly constructed overhead/underground transmission line. These responsibilities are carried out with the objective to effectively manage ongoing projects, enhance operational efficiency with provision of state of the art services to relevant staff within the limits of established company policies and procedures, corporate objectives & strategy, directions / guidelines from higher management, HSE guidelines.

Education

BE Electrical

Knowledge

 Sound knowledge of Transmission line.

 Adequate knowledge of High and medium voltage equipment.

 Project Planning and Implementation of transmission line.

 Awareness of HSEQ policies at site.

Experience

4 years of Experience of transmission lines erection, testing and commissioning projects.

Area Of Responsibilities

Project Planning & Development (25%)

 Conduct site survey to collect site data for preliminary planning and finalizing the route and profile.

 Coordination and communication with external departments regarding route plan and profile for achieving of Right of way (ROW).

 Assist in preparation of project presentation.

Project Site Execution (35%)

 Prepare Day wise plan and daily progress report.

 Site coordination with user department (TMOH, TMUG, Distribution cluster, GSM, Telecom, dept.) for the existing/new transmission line and underground cables and LDC operation for shutdown approval.

 Coordinate and review basic design with Consultant.

 Witness of FAT and Material inspection.

 Supervise Erection of tower and pole, Stringing of Overhead transmission line, OPGW Pulling and cable pulling, cable joint witnessing, testing and commissioning of newly constructed lines as per company guideline and SOPS.

 On Site management of planned outages

 Identify, prepare and closure of punch list items.

 Review of As built drawings.

 Closure of punch list within specified timeline.

Project Logistic and Record Keeping (20%)

 Coordinate with TMOH/TMUG department regarding Spare/ dismantled material.

 Coordinate with KE store and contractors for shifting of spare material to KE store.

 Initiate process of material code creation and crediting to KE stores in coordination with Contractor, IM and BF and end user.

 Credit of dismantled material in good health at KE store

HSEQ (20%)

 Implement KE HSEQ SOP during execution at site.

 Ensure compliance with NEPRA safety code and SLA criteria in Transmission line overhead/underground section.

 Review risk Assessments for Transmission line overhead/underground activities.

 Arrange safety promotional activities to enhance the safety culture.

 Random site visits for safety inspection/walk to check the work procedure as per SOP.
