DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Bamboo.
• Manage and administer a range of SQL and NoSQL databases to support application needs.
• Develop and maintain automation and system administration scripts using Shell, Bash, Batch, and PowerShell for both Linux and Windows environments.
• Deploy and manage Java, Node.js, Angular, and .NET applications on servers such as Apache Tomcat, WildFly, and IIS.
• Implement and Monitor system health and performance using Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Utilize Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration and scaling of microservices.
• Manage source control and implement effective branching strategies and code reviews using Bitbucket.
• Leverage configuration management and automation tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
• Write and maintain automation scripts using Groovy, Python, and Java.
• Apply deep infrastructure and networking knowledge to ensure system availability, performance, and security.
  
  

Requirements

• 2–3 years of proven experience in a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) and source control (Bitbucket).
• Strong scripting skills in Shell, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Java.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
• Hands-on expertise in both Linux and Windows server environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK.
• Experience managing application servers (Tomcat, WildFly, IIS).
• Solid understanding of networking, infrastructure, and security best practices.
• DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes) will be a strong plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
