ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Detailed description of the Roles and Responsibilities entailed in this position is as follows;

1. Audit Planning and Risk Assessment

  • Conduct comprehensive audit planning based on preliminary risk assessments.
  • Develop the audit program and risk control matrix prior to the audit's initiation.
  • Obtain review and approval of planning documents, the audit program, and risk


assessments from the line manager.

  • Facilitate an opening meeting with relevant stakeholders to outline the objectives and


scope of the audit.

  • Ensure alignment with food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards specific to the


food service industry during planning.

2. Audit Field Work

  • Execute in-depth audit fieldwork in alignment with the approved audit program and risk


control matrix.

  • Gather substantial audit evidence regarding identified observations.
  • Document and circulate minutes from meetings with management for acknowledgment


where necessary.

  • Engage with management to discuss draft audit findings and obtain their feedback.
  • Conduct on-site audits to assess adherence to companys SOPs, including food


preparation, health and safety, storage, hygiene practices etc.

  • Monitor cash handling, order processing, and compliance with cashless payment policies


during audits.

  • Verify inventory management practices, including FIFO and waste management.


3. Reporting

  • Draft comprehensive audit findings, risks, and recommendations in a formal report


format.

  • Finalize the draft audit report in collaboration with the line manager, addressing any


feedback received.

  • Distribute the draft report to management to solicit their formal responses.
  • Incorporate management responses and obtain the line managers review to finalize the


audit report.

4. Follow-up Audits

  • Develop a detailed plan for follow-up audits and obtain review from the line manager.
  • Conduct follow-up audits in accordance with the plan, verifying the evidence provided by


management for each resolved observation.

  • Prepare a follow-up audit report and submit it for review to the line manager.


5. General

  • Perform other assignments and tasks as instructed by Line Manager.
  • Adhere to the global standards established by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
  • Ensure compliance with organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies,


and guidelines.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all audits and follow-ups conducted.
  • Uphold objectivity and transparency throughout the audit process.


Qualification & Experience

  • ACCA, CMA, CA Intermediate, or a Masters Degree in Finance from a recognized


institution.

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a risk based internal audit environment.

This position reports directly to the Head of Audit & Compliance.
