Get Licensed is a fast-paced technology business at heart (the majority of our team are developers or tech wizards), and we are at an exciting stage of our business, having tripled since 2020. We have ambitious plans to significantly scale our existing business, broaden our product suite, and continue to grow profitably revenue year on year, with a clear roadmap of how we will get there. We are looking for a full-time Finance Lead to lead our finance team.


The Finance Lead will report to the COO in the UK, and together they will create a positive and productive working environment, agree on objectives and deliverables which will be achievable, and which will also drive the business forward. The successful candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with significant hands-on experience in managing a finance team. They will be willing to roll up their sleeves where required, help with the day to day accounts, as well as being comfortable looking at the bigger picture. They will be confident in running their finance team, and take overall financial responsibility.


What you will be doing:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across the finance function, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term objectives and commercial goals.
  • Manage, develop, and support a high-performing finance team across multiple geographies, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, management reports, and board-level financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring financial targets are achievable, monitored, and adjusted where necessary.
  • Maintain robust cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and treasury oversight to ensure financial resilience.
  • Ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements in the UK and Pakistan, including VAT submissions, corporate tax, and regulatory reporting.
  • Coordinate and manage the external audit process, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing automation and system enhancements within finance operations.
  • Lead the transition of outsourced accounting functions to in-house capabilities, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
  • Provide commercial and financial insights to support initiatives such as pricing strategy, investment evaluation, and cost optimisation.
  • Uphold the integrity of internal controls and conduct internal audits to identify risk exposures and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to ensure financial alignment across business units and strategic projects.


What we are looking for:

  • Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAS, ICAEW, or ICAP) with a strong foundation in financial management and regulatory compliance.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a proven track record of delivering operational excellence.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a senior finance leadership role, with direct oversight of multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience working within international business environments, with a clear understanding of both UK and Pakistan tax frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting systems, particularly Xero, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modelling.
  • Proven involvement in supporting or leading a corporate fundraising process, including financial due diligence and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking abilities, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate financial processes to drive efficiency and scalability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate effectively across departments.
