About the Role
We're excited to announce an opportunity for a Freight Assistant to be a part of our expanding logistics team! As we grow both steadily and swiftly, we're embarking on numerous new projects. For these ventures, we require an enthusiastic individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Please note that this role will be situated at our office in Lahore (Upper Mall), working on-site from Monday-Thursday, with Friday being an optional WFH day. The normal working hours will be 8am – 5pm PKT but may require some occasional flexibility due to working with stakeholders based in China, UK and US.
The role is for a fixed term of 3 months, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team at the end of the FTC.
About You
As a Freight Assistant at Mous, you'll work within our Logistics team and collaboratively with our New Product Development (NPD) team, Engineering team, Quality team, and Production team. You will report directly to Fadhliana (Yana), our Senior Logistics Coordinator based in our office in Dongguan, China.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment, playing a crucial role in driving our projects to successful completion with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for the logistics and freight department.
- Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the supply chain.
- Conduct clerical duties, including file organization, data input, and mailing.
- Process accounts payable invoices.
- Support the operations and logistics teams as required, managing tasks and workflow efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
How will success be measured?
- Communication Skills: Effectiveness in communicating with suppliers, and team members to resolve issues
- Problem-Solving Ability: Capability to handle unexpected challenges quickly
- Workload Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Inventory Management: Effectiveness in tracking stock levels and keeping track on records.
Skills requirements:
- Fluency in English is essential (both written and spoken). Language skills in Mandarin are a huge bonus!
- High school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- At least 6 months of logistics or related experience, with a proven record of meeting performance targets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft and familiar with ERP is a bonus
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
