This position is designed to create tangible impact through functional software. You'll leverage AI tools and cloud-native platforms to construct full-stack systems addressing substantive problems, not merely completing tasks. You'll be expected to deliver rapidly while maintaining quality, selecting the simplest appropriate solution that reconciles immediate velocity with future sustainability.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design and Deploy Full-Stack Capabilities: Shepherd user stories from conception to delivery; validate requirements, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend logic, conduct rigorous testing, and release to production
• Identify and Resolve Bugs: Diagnose issues via root cause investigation, address underlying problems (not surface symptoms), and prevent regressions through strategic testing
• Elevate Code Quality Standards: Assess plans and pull requests to ensure precision, simplicity, and accuracy, preventing technical debt at the source

• Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backends for complexity's sake
• Executing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying problem
• Spending time in prolonged meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or tracking down stakeholders

Basic Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience writing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (any framework).
• Strong ownership: Proven track record owning entire modules, product features, or teams, beyond isolated task contributions
• Independent execution: Capability to remove your own blockers, establish your own rhythm, and navigate forward through ambiguous scenarios
• Experience incorporating generative A.I. into your daily development workflow

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
