Purpose

GM Security Transformation and Engineering is responsible for the Security tools/technology/solutions deployment across KE and acts as a key contributor to the development of long-term Cybersecurity related strategies and directions for all KE environments.

The role is also responsible for development, adoption and refinement of cyber-security reference models, solution architectures and innovative approaches to cybersecurity landscape. Additionally, the role leads the implementation and compliance of the security governance frameworks.

This position leverages internal resources, external consultants and service providers in its mission for setting up Cybersecurity Infrastructure.

This role provides technical mentoring and guidance to Cybersecurity Engineering & Architecture teams, IT and Threat Management pillar as well.

This role closely works in conjunction with departmental heads and organizational functions/departments to ensure employees are aware of cyber-security issues, are trained in good cyber-security practices, and are practicing safe/secure data collection, data transfers and storage, and use of social media, mobile devices, and apps, amongst others.

Areas Of Responsibility

• Security Governance: 15%
  
  

Own and design a robust and effective Cybersecurity Governance delivery unit where all intakes (RFCs, SAR, SR, RFP reviews) from various business and technology stakeholders are effectively managed and delivered within agreed timelines.

Lead assessment with external agency to ensure ISO27k1 certification is kept active and valid throughout liaising with IT

• Security Project Delivery: 25%
  
  

Ensure timely delivery of key IT Cybersecurity Projects

Handover of new projects to relevant Cybersecurity wing after going live.

• Security Engineering Management: 25%
  
  

Creating and managing hardware, software, and security policies for the protection of systems, networks, data and 3rd party integrations.

• People Management: 20%
  
  

This role shall provide effective leadership and management support to cybersecurity technology wings within IT and OT spheres through professional knowledge and practical experience of delivering in wider business functional areas.

• Stakeholder Management: 15%
  
  

This role also closely synergizes with various peer-level business stakeholders and convince them to include cybersecurity risk considerations and compensatory controls in all such business initiatives and projects, assuming insignificant cooperation and support from business stakeholders on cybersecurity matters. Output from this delivery shall be fed into the Head of CS role.
