Overview

The purpose of this job is to drive new ventures for GP across PepsiCo Pakistan Food Operating Companies and Co-Manufacturing Sites, with a scope of influence of around $ 37 MM.

To Improve Business Profitability And Support Market Growth, This Position Is Responsible For Co Manufacturing Which Involves Procurement, Negotiation, New Product Development, Supplier Development And Supplier Management. It Is Also Responsible For Development Of New Suppliers And Supply Chain For:

  • Seasonings Localisation
  • CoMan Portfolio Expansion: Volume Upscale, New SKUs, New Categories including Quaker
  • Sustainable & Direct Corn Sourcing

The role is responsible to ensure adequate industry benchmarking and market analysis to identify the right strategic partners for PepsiCo, and will be the SPOC for existing and all new ventures and innovations of strategic nature for all Directs Categories.

Responsibilities

Sourcing

  • Lead strategic initiatives for coman, seasoning & grains in Pakistan, working to develop and implement localization strategies which are appropriate for the region - GP SPOC for Innovations & New Ventures for all Directs Categories
  • Govern the development of project related sourcing contracts and agreements; lead negotiations and conduct developments with key suppliers
  • Define sourcing strategies based on changing market conditions and provide input during strategic sourcing activities, including internal and external analysis and negotiations
  • Implement sourcing recommendations, ensure compliance is monitored, and benefits tracked in line with the procurement policies & practices
  • Establish Supplier Directory across categories through market research to enable future inductions
  • Develop Seasonings Localisation Strategy & Roadmap. Rollout to start with in 12 months and the onwards phase out plan to be ensured.
  • Development and Induction of Strategic CoMan Partners for NPC & Quaker Portfolios. Commercial delivery in 8 months time.
  • Corn Supply Chain model to be established at a farmer level. Commercial model and terms to be aligned prior to main crop cycle.

Risk Management, Control & Compliance

  • Ensure Full Complinace to GP & PAKISTAN Control Policy
  • Document and implement P2P process with updated key controls.

Productivity & OCF

  • Lift and shift/adapt ideas from other countries/regions
  • Drive synergy with comparable industries on source management and innovations
  • Lead all localization Productivity Projects for PAKISTAN seasoning, coman and grains
  • Deliver Productivity of $ 4 MM on Seasonings through Localistion with 24 months
  • Deliver Commodity Savings of $ 1 MM annually on Corn through direct sourcing

Sustainability – Environmental, Human & Business Continuity

  • Ensure delivery of PepsiCo’s 2021 - 2030 sustainability goals on GP sourced crops
  • Ensure SCOC Trainings & high-risk site audits are complete and BCP’s are developed

People

  • Work closely with PAKISTAN MSO, Sector & Global COE leads
  • Collaborate with PAKISTAN MSO and other COE teams and cross functional stakeholders to deliver against key business objectives
  • Build Procurement function credibility with the business stakeholders; represent Procurement function internally (peer level) and externally (suppliers)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years+ experience in Procurement or Category Management position
  • Proven technical procurement category knowledge of to ensure the continued adoption and use of best practice approaches
  • Sound knowledge of supply market fundamentals
  • Preferred CIPSA or CPIM supply chain qualification highly desirable
  • Graduate/Masters Degree in Engineering or Business
  • Proven influencing skills to positively impact complex negotiations
  • Excellent balance of analytical & negotiation skills
  • Contract writing / risk analysis / liabilities and indemnities / SLA’s / and general commercial terms
  • Sound understanding of SAP and P2P Governance and Controls
