Head of Projects

Job Purpose: To lead and manage the delivery of projects within the assigned schedule, budget, and quality requirements in accordance with the departments specifications, HSE standards, NFL’s policies, and industry recognised standards
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage assigned projects from planning and initiation to execution and handover, ensuring that tasks are performed accurately and efficiently whilst adhering to established procedures, budget, and quality standards
- Assess project requirements considering available manpower, capital, and timelines; prioritise tasks and allocate resources to maximise productivity
- Identify potential project risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, ensuring they are addressed during the implementation process
- Ensure developed plans adhere to global health, safety, and legal standards, guaranteeing risk-free production and project execution
- Establish and maintain clear communication channels with key internal stakeholders, direct reports, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee the progression of projects, manage project critical paths, and deliver project reports in line with company and customer specifications
- Regularly monitor project progress, adjust resources as needed, and conduct post-project reviews/briefings, gathering insights from direct reports
- Develop and implement a variety of operating policies and procedures to ensure the plant meets current and future production targets and quality standards
- Set and monitor the plant’s performance against standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing efficiency, cost control, legal compliance, and human resource management
- Collaborate with Plant Leadership, Operations, and Maintenance teams to deploy Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)/World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and ensure full KPI implementation
- Implement and promote LEAN methodologies and tools such as value stream mapping, Kaizen, planned maintenance, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.
- Lead, direct, and develop a team of functional and operational managers, ensuring the department meets its established targets
- Guide the goal-setting process for direct reports, evaluate their performance against established objectives, and identify areas for further training and skill development
- Keep updated on the latest developments in project management to ensure NFL adopts best practices consistently
Education Requirements: Min Bachelors in Engineering (preferably Mechanical)
Experience Requirements: 15 Years of Experience preferably in Pharma & FMCG Industry working with both brownfield and greenfield projects
Systems Knowledge Requirements: AutoCAD, SAP (PS Module)
