In Africa, we are building a Mobile Financial Services Competence Center to support customers across the region.
The Ericsson Wallet Platform (EWP) enables operators and banks to offer mobile financial services, ensuring top-tier security, integration, and customization. Our work improves the lives of millions in Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, helping bring financial freedom to underserved communities.
We seek a customer-focused leader with strong expertise in solution design, service delivery, and team leadership to lead MFS Solution Architects and Cloud experts. This role is part of the MFS Service Delivery Leadership Team, responsible for delivering EWP rollouts and application development.


What You Will Do:


  • Oversee contractual scope and solution requirements.
  • Establish and execute a technical design authority model based on MFS best practices.
  • Align with Product Management to ensure roadmap and strategy meet customer needs.
  • Work closely with C-level executives and senior leaders to define and prioritize business needs.
  • Lead deployment projects and solution integration for Mobile Financial Services.
  • Ensure quality assurance of deliverables from MFS Solution Architects and Business Analysts.
  • Drive team capability growth, ensuring compliance, ethics, and leadership excellence.
  • Recruit top FinTech talent while promoting diversity.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through meetings and engagement.
  • Implement best practices, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to internal/external networks.
  • Ensure adherence to global processes, methods, and tools for operational efficiency.
  • Lead strategy development and change management, addressing performance barriers.
  • Promote standardization and reuse across MFS program verticals.


The skills you bring:


  • 10-15 years of leadership experience in telecom or ICT technology roles, including 5+ years of direct leadership.
  • 5+ years in FinTech, partnering with major fintech or banking operators.
  • Strong ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
  • Hands-on experience with Ericsson Wallet Platform is a plus.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
  • Customer-first mindset with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to lead multi-cultural, cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and drive operational improvements.
  • Business, operational, and financial expertise, with knowledge of Ericsson processes as a plus.
  • University degree in Technology or Economics, preferably MSc, MBA, or equivalent.
