This includes ensuring system reliability, accurate process measurements, regulatory compliance, and providing hands-on technical services at client sites.

What You’ll Lead And Deliver
The Instrument & Analyzer Specialist will be responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and field support of instrumentation and Analyzer systems. This includes ensuring system reliability, accurate process measurements, regulatory compliance, and providing hands-on technical services at client sites.
Instrumentation & Analyzer Engineering
- Design, specify, and review process instrumentation and Analyzer systems (flow, pressure, temperature, level, chromatographs, gas Analyzers, pH, CEMS, etc.).
- Prepare technical documentation: datasheets, P&IDs, loop diagrams, instrument index, and Analyzer specifications.
- Evaluate vendor offers, provide technical clarifications, and ensure compliance with project requirements and international standards.
- Develop calibration, preventive, and predictive maintenance programs for critical instruments and Analyzers.
- Support plant operations during commissioning, shutdowns, and turnarounds.
- Perform installation, commissioning, startup, calibration, and testing of instruments and Analyzers at customer sites.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and repair services for Analyzers, and smart field instruments.
- Deliver hands-on support for vendor software packages (configuration, interrogation, and diagnostics).
- Conduct site acceptance tests (SAT) in collaboration with vendors and clients.
- Train operators and technicians on the correct use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instruments and Analyzers.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance while performing field activities.
- Document service reports, calibration certificates, and field troubleshooting logs.
- Provide customer support (remote and on-site) to resolve urgent instrumentation and Analyzer issues.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- OEM or vendor certifications in Analyzers, calibration, or smart instrumentation preferred.
- 8–10 years of hands-on experience in maintenance of process instrumentation and Analyzer systems.
- Strong exposure to oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or similar process industries.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing smart field devices (flow, pressure, temperature, level, pH, etc.) and process Analyzers (chromatographs, gas Analyzers, CEMS).
- Familiarity with planned preventive maintenance (PPM), predictive maintenance, and calibration programs.
- Practical knowledge of calibration, testing, and repair of instruments and Analyzers.
- Ability to interpret and update maintenance documentation: datasheets, loop diagrams, instrument index, and calibration certificates.
- Skilled in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring instrument/Analyzer issues.
- Competence with vendor diagnostic software tools for field instruments and Analyzers.
- Familiarity with control systems integration and field communication protocols (HART, Modbus, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, etc.).
- Experience in supporting shutdowns, turnarounds, and commissioning from a maintenance perspective.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Good communication skills for liaising with plant operations and vendors.
- Team player with capability to mentor technicians on maintenance practices.
- Strong documentation skills (service reports, calibration logs, maintenance records).
- Willingness to work in the field, including plant sites, offshore/onshore facilities, and remote locations.
- Flexibility to work during shutdowns, turnarounds, and extended maintenance shifts.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards while performing maintenance activities.
- Ability to travel for field assignments (domestic and international).
