Intern - Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Data Engineering Intern to join our Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. This internship offers hands-on experience with real-world data engineering challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Work with large datasets to clean, transform, and prepare data for analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts to ensure high-quality data delivery.
• Help improve data architecture, storage, and retrieval systems for performance and scalability.
• Conduct data validation, profiling, and quality checks across multiple sources.
• Document code, data workflows, and best practices for knowledge sharing.

Required Skills:

• Solid understanding of SQL and at least one programming language (preferably Python.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Basic understanding of data modeling, APIs, and version control (Git).
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a passion for data.
• Prior coursework or projects involving distributed systems or big data technologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and data infrastructure best practices.

Experience:

• Minimum: 0 – 1 years

Education/Qualification:

• Minimum: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Engineering / Science or Information Systems.
