Job Description:
Qualification & Experience:
Essential:

• DAE (Electronics / Electrical and Telecom) having minimum 03 years of hands-on experience in relevant field.

Desirable:

• B Tech (Electronics / Electrical and Telecom) having minimum 05 years of hands-on experience in relevant field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring , Fault tracing , Repair / Maintenance of NUST single & multi mode fiber Optic Cable setup covering ODFs , Patch cards

• Survey for new deployment , route clearance , splicing monitoring , tagging ODF and supervising installation of marker posts, marking tape, manholes, trenching/backfilling

• Ensuring safety of NUST Fiber Optic cable infrastructure, Monitoring & Timely coordination with relevant sections

• Maintain record of optical fiber components details and up-to-date layout map of 40 KM fiber Optic cable Network.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Essential:

• knowledge of OFC Core combination

• OFC Troubleshooting, splicing & OTDR testing

Desirable:

• In depth Planning Knowledge of OFC new deployment

• Hands-on Splicing & OTDR testing

Traning / Certifications:
Essential:

• OFC transmission system and cable jointing Training

Desirable:

• OFC transmission system and cable jointing training from Telecom Foundation

Terms & Conditions:

• Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:

• 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.

• NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.

• In process of pursuing a required degree.

• Medically unfit.

• Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
