About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically strong IT Engineer L2 to join our IT operations team. This is a full-time, onsite role based at our Head Office in Khayaban-e-Amin, Lahore. The ideal candidate will provide advanced technical support, mentor Level 1 technicians, and assist in maintaining our core IT infrastructure and services.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide second-level support for escalated hardware, software, and network issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents involving Windows servers, user systems, and business applications
- Manage and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
- Monitor and manage virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure, switches, routers, and firewalls
- Ensure proper backup and recovery processes are implemented and tested
- Support Microsoft 365 administration including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams
- Perform patch management and system updates across IT assets
- Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with other IT teams on projects and infrastructure upgrades
- Assist in IT audits and compliance efforts
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 24 years of experience in an IT support or system/network administration role
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016/2019), Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Working knowledge of virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience in managing Office 365 tenant and user services
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs)
- Familiarity with firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco, or Sophos) and endpoint protection solutions
- Proficiency with help desk systems (e.g., Jira, ManageEngine, or ServiceNow)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Relevant certifications such as MCSA, CCNA, or VMware Certified Associate (VCA) are a plus
