Junior Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about ensuring the quality of software applications. As a Junior QA Engineer, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA team members to test applications, identify issues, and help deliver reliable, high-quality products to our users. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in software testing, automation, and quality assurance best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases and report results in a clear and structured way.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Assist in regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Work with developers and product managers to understand requirements and expected outcomes.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and QA review sessions.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Update QA documentation as features evolve.
• Learn automation tools and testing frameworks under the guidance of senior QA engineers.
• Stay updated with QA methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
• Proactively suggest improvements to enhance testing processes.

Required Qualifications

• Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum 1 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance (internships or projects acceptable).
• Technical Skills
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile/Scrum is a plus).
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test case management systems.
• Knowledge of basic SQL queries for data validation.
• Exposure to automation tools is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes.
• Proactive attitude with a passion for product quality.
