The client is seeking a highly motivated, talented, and seasoned Senior Front End Developer. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, design, marketing, and analytics, to build innovative features that drive significant growth across all our customer-facing websites. The lead developer (Front-end technology) is expected to partner in owning front-end architecture and help design/maintain our day-to-day front-end development roadmap.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead and execute the design, development, and deployment of high-impact features for our web storefront
  • Analyze, Design and Implement high priority SEO enhancements to increase the Natural Search Traffic
  • Build scalable and performant solutions primarily within the front end that drive business growth and improve digital penetration
  • Mentor and develop team members by setting best practices for architecture, coding, delivery, and operations
  • Foster collaboration across engineering pods and teams to create reusable, scalable solutions, contributing to architecture blueprints that benefit the entire organization
  • Partner with key stakeholders in product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and project management to make data-driven decisions and optimize performance
  • Contribute to the technical and strategic vision of the Customer Experience Engineering pods, identifying and implementing new technologies to enhance security, scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Collaborate with backend and quality engineers to deliver high-quality code that powers hims.com and forhers.com
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by actively participating in sprint ceremonies and process refinement
  • Assist in creating and developing the architecture for an entire platform as well as specific functions/projects that the client may be embarking on that involve front-end technologies.
  • Approve and publish code to production environments
  • Set and maintain front-end architecture standards
  • Monitor site performance and suggest improvements
  • Validate interaction designs, and suggest maintainable ways of doing things
  • Ensure our front-end implementation scales to our needs
  • Mentor, coach and support other developers regardless of affiliation with CLIENT or vendors
  • Maintain documentation and architecture diagrams related to our current state of Front-end architecture.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in Direct-To-Consumer e-commerce digital properties
  • A strong understanding of modern web technologies (React, GraphQL, Javascript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3)
  • Proven experience building complex consumer web applications with a strong understanding of state management(Redux)
  • Strong understanding of CSS, design principles, and component library creation
  • Hands-on experience in Content provision and then implementation into the meta structure.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to translate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects, and deliver results on tight deadlines
  • Hands-on experience with cloud hosting providers such as AWS, Google Cloud
  • Ability to leverage APIs to create data that will be rendered on the UI
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies and front-end build tools and pipelines CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to work effectively in Agile PODs and with cross-functional teams
