Job Description Job Description:
PGIM is looking for an experienced Software Engineer, with an python/AWS background. The ideal candidate must be proficient in building Python applications using Python in the cloud and have some experience in the Linux environment.
Candidates must have a proven history of building and supporting responsive web applications and processes on AWS. Candidates must be comfortable working in an agile development environment. The chosen candidate will work closely with IT management and staff to identify application development solutions.
Responsibilities Include:

• Analyze business requirements then design and code web applications, APIs, and micro-services using Python on AWS.
• Understand and follow the complete software development life cycle methodology
• Participation in Agile Scrum Methodologies; reviewing stories, creating tasks, product grooming, estimating work, stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, etc.
• Develop and execute test scenarios to ensure the stability and performance of applications utilizing unit test framework
• Build and maintain positive relationships with co-workers
• Maintain a well-controlled and resilient technology environment, including the identification and management of IT risks in coordination with company policies and IT governance standards

Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications.1. Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems.2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance.3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities.5. The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders Job Description - Grade Specific Required & Desired Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering
• 2+ years of experience in Python
• Some experience with UI Development
• Experience in Containerization (Docker)
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS)
• Experience in building Micro-Services
• Experience with Agile Software Lifecycle
• Experience using PostgreSQL
• Expert in Object-Oriented Design
• B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
