INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Legal & Contracts Engineer to join our Project Monitoring and Control team. This role is pivotal in overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of complex projects within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Utilities, and Manufacturing industries. You will be responsible for reviewing, managing, and mitigating contractual and commercial risks to ensure seamless project execution. What You’ll Lead And Deliver
- Ensure quality and timely review of all contract documents strictly in accordance with the INTECH process and guidelines.
- Discuss highlighted risks with the Lead Contracts and ensure that all commercial risks are communicated and discussed with relevant stakeholders effectively.
- Ensure Purchase Orders or Subcontract Agreements issued to INTECH Vendors are in line with the main customer contractual risks or requirements.
- Facilitate to carry out awareness sessions or workshops with other department personnel to eliminate knowledge gaps regarding contractual legal terms.
- Drafting and maintaining all INTECH standard templates for the Procurement Dept.
- Ensure that both Customer and Supplier Risk Profile Dashboards are fully updated.
- Provide active consultative support to Project team while drafting various letters or notices, claims negotiation, variation orders, disputes or conflicts resolution with the customers or vendors at Post-award Stage.
- Ensures that the Master Risks Registers for both Customer and Suppliers are fully updated and maintained.
- Ensure the compliance of contracts review process for all reviewed contract agreements.
- Maintain contractual log to ensure that all reviewed contract documents are stored in the computerized system to keep track, and to substantiate the submission of claims timely.
- Facilitate Lead Contracts to update and maintain all inter-departmental processes or frameworks.
- Ensure requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001 OHSMS & CSIA (Control System Integrators Association).
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- 3+ years of experience in contract management, governance, and compliance, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or LLB.
- Strong understanding of contractual and legal frameworks, including FIDIC, NEC, PPRA, and PEC standard documents.
- Proficiency in contract review, interpretation, and drafting.
- Knowledge of insurance-related matters, governance, and commercial law.
