Machine Learning Engineer

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Formulatrix is seeking a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer to help us with our machine vision challenges. You will stay up to date with the latest research in classification, detection, segmentation and metric learning and work with a team of highly qualified engineers to help develop robust and reliable laboratory instruments. You'll be involved in all phases of model development including data analysis, prototyping, testing, deployment and end to end optimization.

Job Description

• Research and Development on varied state-of-the-art algorithms.
• Prototype, develop and experiment with computer vision algorithms.
• Analyze data to measure qualitative and quantitative performance of AI.
• Understand product requirements and translate them into engineering goals and tasks.
• Build systems for an end to end production grade stack with low latency and high throughput.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in software engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience in software development, software delivery, and post-implementation with respect to AI and otherwise.
• Familiar and used to best practices in programming(OOP, Data Structures and Algorithm Design).
• Familiar with database management systems and their maintenance.
• Hands-on experience of machine learning development(Classification, Clustering, and Regression) and techniques(Linear Regression, SVM, Naive Bayes etc).
• Ability to write robust code in python.
• Knowledge of traditional computer vision concepts(Filters, RGB and Grayscale images, transforms etc ).
• Hands-on experience of Deep learning (Activation Functions, Convolutions etc) and experience with at least a major, modern deep learning development platform e.g tensorflow, pytorch etc.
• Experience in research with respect to AI is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms(AWS, Google Cloud) and GPU/TPU acceleration for faster training is a plus.
• Experience with Machine Learning related Devops is a plus(Docker).
• Proactive, highly motivated, and strong team player with good ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as necessary.
• Good communication skills in English both oral and written.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Lahore.
