Tasks
As the Manager Accounts & Finance for our US Entity, you will be a pivotal leader within RepairDesk's finance department. This multifaceted role is critical for ensuring the robust financial health, compliance, and strategic performance of RepairDesk Inc. (USA). You will oversee all aspects of US financial operations, including meticulous financial reporting, comprehensive SaaS metrics tracking, and adherence to US federal and state tax regulations. Beyond direct financial management, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing the entire finance team, serving as the primary liaison and direct point of contact between the team and executive leadership. Your deep understanding of SaaS metrics and subscription management workflows will be essential in optimizing our financial processes and contributing to the company's sustained growth.
As the Manager Accounts & Finance (US Entity), you will:
- Oversee and manage all financial operations for RepairDesk Inc. (USA), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with company goals.
- Serve as the direct point of contact and liaison between the finance team and the COO/CEO, providing strategic financial insights and recommendations.
- Coordinate closely with the Manager Accounts & Finance (Pakistan Entity) to ensure seamless consolidation and comprehensive financial reporting across both entities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the entire finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analyses for both entities providing executive management with clear, actionable visibility into cash flows, profitability, and overall financial performance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust processes for preparing, calculating and tracking all key SaaS metrics on a monthly basis (e.g., MRR, ARR, Churn Rate, Customer Lifetime Value (LTV), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Payback Period).
- Provide insightful analysis of SaaS metrics to identify growth opportunities, potential risks, and areas for operational efficiency.
- Oversee the annual accounts closing and annual tax return preparation for RepairDesk Inc. as per US Federal and State requirements.
- Ensure timely payment of quarterly Federal and State tax obligations (e.g., Delaware & Federal state taxes).
- Manage all compliance requirements for US independent contractors, including the collection of W-9 forms and the preparation and filing of Form 1099-NEC.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and collaborate extensively with external US tax and accounting advisors to ensure accurate filings and adherence to all US tax regulations.
- Lead the billing team in managing customer inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and optimizing billing practices for various payment platforms (Stripe, PayPal, ACH).
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for billing and subscription management across cross-functional teams.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements in billing systems and processes to enhance operational effectiveness and customer experience.
- Oversee the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for US contractors, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursements.
- Manage commission calculations and incentive disbursements for revenue teams, ensuring alignment with compensation plans.
- Ensure timely payments to referral and payment processor partners, maintaining accurate records and compliance.
- Oversee the accurate recording of all revenue, expenses, and transactions in QuickBooks Online on an accrual basis, ensuring monthly accounts closings.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial documentation, policies, and SOPs to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement within finance operations and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and automation.
- Assist in external audit processes as required for the US entity.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-4 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least a preferred experience of 1-2 years in a managerial capacity overseeing financial operations for a US-based entity.
- Proven experience in a SaaS industry environment, with a comprehensive understanding of SaaS business models, billing practices, subscription models, and revenue recognition.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring a finance team.
- Solid understanding of US accounting principles (GAAP) and federal/state tax regulations for C Corporations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with executive leadership, cross-functional teams, external advisors, and team members. Ability to serve as a clear and concise liaison.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Zoho CRM) and payment platforms (Stripe, PayPal, Brex).
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Additional certifications in financial analysis, CPA certification or equivalent or project management are a plus.
