Purpose

This position will have the opportunity to serve as a finance business partner for the Enabling Functions, focusing on various areas such as business and commercial finance, budgeting and planning, compliance, pre-audit, disposal, and risk management. This role encompasses two main responsibilities, primarily acting as a point of contact from the finance side for two specific areas: Supply Chain Disposal & IM and Enabling Functions. Regarding the Supply Chain Disposal aspect, he will actively participate in the disposal process, assessing its viability and value for the company by considering market dynamics and determining whether it aligns with the overall business objectives. Additionally, he will be responsible for collaborating closely with other Enabling departments, including Administration, Security, Marketing and Communication, Inventory Management, Health Care, CHSEQ, and others. His main focus will be to ensure compliance in all commercial and financial processes. It is vital to monitor and identify potential risk areas to protect the company against potential risks that may arise.

Education & Relevant Experience

Preferably Qualified of any professional accountancy body e.g CA, CMA and ACCA with minimum 4 years of experience or MBA Finance with 5 years of experience

Areas of Responsibilities Inventory Management

  • Assist in reviewing the annual physical count plan for inventory management locations.
  • Help monitor the completion of the yearly plan and identify any execution issues.
  • Support in reviewing and approving statements of differences and ensuring timely posting in the system.
  • Assist in the disposal processes, including participating in bidding of surplus/scrap supplies and equipment.
  • Help review disposal-related documents for transparency and compliance with SOPs.
  • Assist in managing the disposal of materials and fixed assets through the SAP SD module.
  • Support line manager in liaising with auditors on inventory management matters.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Collaborate with the manager to review monthly observation reports for inventory management stores.
  • Help review monthly O&M variance reports and provide recommendations for issue resolution.
  • Support in providing financial and costing analysis on business project proposals.
  • Assist in reviewing quarterly inventory provisioning reports and presenting the inventory position.
  • Collaborate with IT for designing, testing, and implementing SAP reports and projects.

Financial Management, Risk Management, and Budgeting

  • Support the manager in verifying invoices, including employee reimbursements and travel/expense expenses.
  • Assist in planning and preparing budgets for the enabling departments.
  • Help monitor and report variances to ensure adherence to budget limits.
  • Assist in assessing potential risks and opportunities to the organization's financial position.

Asset Management, Documentation, and Conflict Resolution

  • Collaborate with the manager to ensure timely transfer of capital work-in-progress to fixed asset classes.
  • Assist in facilitating audits, providing necessary documentation and information, and addressing queries or concerns.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and procedures.

People Management

  • Provide leadership and direction to the teams.
  • Prioritize critical and urgent projects/tasks/assignments.
  • Regularly mentor subordinates to ensure they maintain a sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Delegate responsibilities to direct reports and create a sense of urgency and responsibility.
  • Motivate the team through feedback, brainstorming sessions, and assigning challenging tasks.
  • Identify training and development requirements of subordinates for future roles.
  • Manage the performance of direct reports through objective setting, continuous support, feedback, and formal appraisal; coordinate with HR for recruitment of new talent.
  • Build strong relationships with users, supply chain teams, accounts payable, and treasury departments.
